I seriously cannot believe that this book was pulled from the shelves of school libraries because of the use of the word "scrotum." I've wanted to read this book ever since I heard of the controversy, and it saddens me now to think that some children may have missed out on reading this book because of parents and/or librarians who overreacted based on ONE WORD. That's all it is, ONE WORD. And, behind the cover of that ONE WORD, is a beautiful, heartwarming, heartwrenching, soul-moving story that just has to be read and enjoyed. The pictures, the story, everything is just WOW.
