One of my best friends sent me a text from abroad, telling me that I absolutely must read this book so that her and I could discuss it. Armed with a birthday gift card, I headed into Chapters, with a few items on my to-buy list. I had NO idea what the premise of the book was, nor had I researched any customer reviews, either on the Chapters website or on GoodReads. I found the book on the shelf, read the description and bought it. Now, this may not seem surprising to many, but it is for me. I just don't do this. I'm a very cautious book buyer, and will usually borrow a book from the library over purchasing (specifically because my bank account can't keep up with my reading habit) but mainly because I only buy a book that I'm guaranteed to love, such as the latest title by a beloved author.In short, I wasn't disappointed with the book, and will likely buy more on the spot when recommended by this same friend. The book sucked me in from the beginning and took me on an adventure of a lifetime. I laughed, I cried, and I didn't want it to end.It's the perfect book for a rainy Saturday, curled up on the couch with a mug of tea. It's the perfect book to tuck into your bag for a day at the beach. It's the perfect book for any type of day. And it's a book that you won't regret reading. Trust me.
