The book got off to a great start, then slowed down about 70 pages in. The middle of the book was quite slow moving, where it seemed like all of the characters were moving in a fog. No one was happy, but no one seemed to want to take a step towards making a change for the better. At about the 2/3 mark, the book was almost due back at the library, and it was in high demand, so I couldn't renew it. But, since I've already read the entire series, I forced myself to finish it and I'm happy I did. The ending wasn't perfect, but it was definitely a good story. Very feel-good, Travelling Pants-esque, and a satisfying read. It brought me a little out of my YA-slump and into a slightly more adult genre for a few moments. Now, I back to finishing the Pretty Little Liars series, while the rain pours down outside.
