Coraline
While working at Bolen's, a co-worker once commented that this book was too scary for the children's section. After finally reading it, I'm inclined to agree ... I'm an adult and this book scared me! Yet, it's won so many children's awards?! It's a little Narnia-esque, where Coraline discovers a world behind a secret door, yet it's a world similar to her own, yet terrifyingly different.
